Notes:
Born in St Agatha, but raised in Michigan where he married Ada Federspiel
  • 1897 - sawmilling, contracting and later custom threshing
  • 1904 - bought Richter Hotel at St Agatha, later named the Prince of Wales Hotel
  • 1911 - sold Richter hotel and bought Berdux Hotel at Wellesley, where he also had one of the best equipped garages in the district
  • 1917-1923 on Wellesley Light Commission
  • 1937 - disagreement between the residents of Linwood and the management of the Elmira Bus Lines that left the children of the district without transportation to Elmira Collegiate (Kitchener Daily Record 29/10/1937). "Reeve P.A.Wagner...vigorously denied that any bonuses had been promised. "I have been a member of the council since 1924 and if he (Lishman) was ever promised a bonus I must have been asleep,’ he said" (Maple Leaf Journal p 61)
