Historic Neighbourhood Study
The study was done in the early 1980s by students in a class taught by eminent restoration architect Peter John Stokes at the School of Architecture at the University of Waterloo. The purpose was to show the students how to survey buildings in a small settlement area. It was done in conjunction with Wellesley LACAC (now part of the WTHHS). Not every house of historic importance is included.
In the 1990s many of the street names and numbers changed in order to improve access to villages for fire and
other social services. Streets were renamed if there were two of the same name in different villages. Click on the street names below to view the current address, the old address and the survey sheet for each home listed.
