R. C. S. S. #9 - Bamberg
R.C.S.S. #9 was a "boundary" school with students from St. Agatha and St. Clements parishes as well as Bamberg. The first school building is thought to have been built in 1857.
When the Waterloo County Separate School Board was formed in 1969, the small Bamberg school was closed and the students were bused to the St. Clements School. The school was used for a time as the Bamberg Recreation Centre and has now been torn down.
The WTHHS has in its collection three account and minute books of the Bamberg School Trustees dating from 1859 to 1946. The earliest entries are handwritten in fine German script. A few pages of the first account book have been translated.
