MORE—LACKNER. A very pretty wedding took place on Oct. 30th at “Maple Shade,” Hawkesville, the residence of Mr. Geo. F. Lackner, when Miss Nellie Edna Lackner was married to Mr. Robt. More, of Toronto—son of Mr. Jas. More and brother of Dr. Geo. More, of Hawkesville. The ceremony took place in the drawing room, under a largo bell of smilax and pink and white caranations [sic]. The knot was tied by Rev. T. H. Ibbot, Bloomingdale, assisted by Rev. S. Cunningham, at 12 o’clock noon. The bride was given away by her father, and was attended by Miss Evelyn Lackner, as bridesmaid, and Miss Lilian Lackner as flower girl, while the groom was assisted by his brother, Dr. Geo. More. Miss Snelly rendered Mendelssohn’s wedding march. Miss Lackner was a pretty bride dressed becomingly in cream silk crepe de chine over cream silk with chiffon and applique trimmings and she wore the usual bridal veil and orange blossoms and carried boquet [sic] of white roses. After the ceremony and congratulations, the guests numbering about 80 partook of the wedding banquet the table decorations being smilax and asters. The bridal party left home about six o’clock in the evening for short trip to St. Mary’s and other western points, after which they will take up their residence on Palmerston avenue, Toronto. Philipsburg A very pleasant event took place last Wednesday Oct. 24th at the residence of Mr. and Mrs. Conrad Lantz, when their daughter, Ida, was united In marriage to Mr. Edwin Heipel, son of Mr. Wm. Heipel, a prosperous farmer near Doerings corner [sic]. The presents received by the young couple were numerous and costly. After the wedding ceremony about 150 guests sat down to an excellent wedding dinner. Mr. and Mrs. Heipel will take up their residence on a farm near this village where Mrs. Heipel was born. At the residence of Henry Berscht, Esq. just north of Wellesley, on Thursday, Sept. 17, 1906 by Rev. Mr. Battenburg, Miss Minnie, daughter of Mr. Wm. Lanz, Millbank, to Mr. Geo. Berscht, painter, of Wellesley. About 100 invited guests attended this pretty wedding, including many friends from long distances. The bride was dressed in white silk and carried carnations, Miss Millie Schmidt, of Tralee, acted as bridesmaid and the groom was supported by Mr. Jacob Lanz, brother of the bride. There was a large and costly array of suitable presents, including a gold watch from the groom. The young couple will take up their residence in Mr. Berscht’s home in this village.
