Herber Family History

Elizabeth Herber Hahn with Stella & Pearl Hahn
Elizabeth Herber  (1830-1918) was born in Schweinsberg Kirchhain, Hesse-Nassau, Prussia, Germany. She came to Canada as a two year old with her family - Heinrich Jacob Herber and Catherina Nicolai and her brother, William. The family settled in Wilmot Township on what is now 1195 Erb’s Road, St. Agatha.

In 1849 Elizabeth married George Hahn and settled on Lot 6 Concession VI, Eastern Section.
