NITHBURG. The home of Mr. and Mrs. John [?] Gabel, of this place, was the scene of a pretty wedding last Wednesday afternoon, the 10th inst., when their daughter Miss Clara Gabel was united in marriage to Mr. Ed H. Schmidt, son of Mr. John Schmidt, section line. The ceremony was performed by Rev. Mr. Dierlamm in the presence of about 100 invited guests. Little Beatrice Gabel, a niece of the bride acted as flower girl, while little J. Trillo [?] the groom’s nephew, was ring bearer. There was a very nice display of bridal presents from the young lady’s numerous friends. After the wedding dinner an enjoyable time was spent by all. CROSSHILL Happily Wedded. The home of Mrs. D. Gerber, was the scene of a happy event last Tuesday, it being the occasion of the marriage of her daughter Barbara, to Mr. M. Jantzi, near Wellesley. The marriage ceremony was performed in the Amish Church, 3rd line of Wellesley at 2 o’clock pm. After the bridal party returned, all sat down to a sumptuous wedding dinner. A quiet but pretty wedding took place on Tuesday afternoon, Feb 11 at the home of the groom's parents, Mr. and Mrs. John W. Otto, when their only son, Henry was united in marriage to Miss Meta Gulck of North Easthope. The ceremony was performed at three o'clock by Rev. Langholz of Philipsburg. The bride was attended by Miss Knechtel and Miss Clara Ehnes, while the groom was attended by Mr. Henry Knechtel and Conrad Berg. After the ceremony the party sat down to a dainty wedding dinner which was waiting them by Mins Maggie Knechtel and August Gulck, brother of the bride. The bride was prettily dressed in cream silk trimmed with bridal veil and wreath of orange blossoms, and carrying a beautiful boquet [sic] of bridal roses in her hand. The bridesmaids were dressed in white muslin. The bride's travelling suit was a navy blue broadcloth, with white felt hat, trimmed with white and blue plumes and blue silk ribbons to match. The bride was recipient of many useful presents. The groom’s gift to the bride was a diamond ring and gold bracelet There were only a few intimate friends present. The evening was spent in speeches, music and games. Mr. and Mrs. Otto will leave on their short wedding trip with the best wishes of their friends.
