Fleischhauer, Esq., all of Wellesley. Mr. and Mrs. Reiner left immediately after the ceremony for Toronto and other places expecting to be away a week or two on their wedding trip. A quiet wedding occurred at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Louis Fleischhauer at 4:30 this (Wednesday) afternoon when their second daughter Miss Helena was united in marriage to Mr. Alex. Stahle, painter. Rev. Mr. Battenberg performed the ceremony in the presence of only immediate relatives. Mr. and Mrs. Stahle are now absent on a short wedding trip to Berlin. A NORTH EASTHOPE WEDDING
The residence of Mr. Alex. Forrest, just south of Hampstead, presented an animated scene last Wednesday, the occasion being the marriage of Miss Catherine, youngest daughter of Mrs. Wm. Forrest, and Mr. Wesley Bowers, of Bancroft. Ont. Rev. Mr. Cameron officiated in the presence of about 80 relatives and near friends, among them being Misses Kate and Jessie McDougald, of Winterbourne, besides guests from Stratford and other places. Miss Lily Bowers attended the bride, both being dressed in white silk and lace trimmings and carrying roses. Mr. Dougald Forrest supported the groom. St. Clements R. C. Church was the scene of a very pretty wedding on Tuesday, November 18th, when Miss Mary, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William Forwell, St. Clements was married to Mr. Anthony Mattell,proprietor of the Royal hotel. The ceremony, which was performed by the Rev. Geo. Brohman, the parish priest, took place in the presence of a large number of relatives and friends. The wedding march
was played by Mr. Peter F. Schummer, organist of the church The bride looked very graceful in a dainty dress of white organdie, trimmed with chiffon, with veil and a wreath of orange blossoms, and carried a boquet [sic] of white roses. Misses Tillie Forwell and Lizzie Mattell acted as bridesmaids and were prettily costumed in white organdie, and carrying boquets [sic]of white and pink carnations. Prettily dressed Miss Irene Mattell acted as flower girl. The groom was supported by Messrs. Joseph Reinhart and Matthew Schummer, both of St. Clements. After the usual congratulations and good wishes the bridal party repaired to the home of the bride’s parents where a sumptuous wedding breakfast was partaken of, after which Mr. and Mrs. Mattell left on a trip to Walkerton. The bride's travelling dress was navy blue trimmed with taffeta silk and white applique. The wedding gifts were many and costly, many being from the bride's friends in Waterloo where she formerly resided. Matrimonial—A pretty wedding took place in the R. C. Church on Tuesday at 9 a. m. The contracting parties were Mr. Louis Esbaugh and Miss Paulina Freiburger. Rev. Geo. Brohman officiated. The groomsmen were John Esbaugh and Frank Kroetsch. The happy bride was assisted by the Misses Louisa Boppre and Victoria Esbaugh. After the service a reception was held at the bride's parents. HAWKESVILLE. A very pretty church wedding took place in the Presbyterian Church on Wednesday, Feb. 3rd. when Miss Ida Rosetta, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Frey, was married to Mr. Nelson Cunningham youngest son of Mr. and Mrs. Tom Cunningham, both of Hawkesville. The bride was dressed in a pretty gown of white silk with a veil and carried a boquet [sic] of white carnations. The groom was assisted by Mr. Eddie Snyder. The little flower girl being Miss Margaret Laidlaw dressed in cream cashmere and carried a boquet [sic] of pink carnations. The march was played by Mr. Isaac Baker, cousin of the groom. At half past five the bridge came in leaning on the arm of her father. The ceremony was performed by Rev. S. Cunningham assisted by Rev. T. H. Ibbot. After the ceremony the bridal party and guests sat down to a sumptuous wedding breakfast. The bride was the recipient of many pretty presents showing the esteem with which she was held in the community. The happy couple left shortly afterwards for a trip to Stratford and Forest after which they will take up their residence in Hawkesville.
